Jogged with Rihanna

I jogged with Rihanna yesterday. She came in to fetch me at around 3:00 or some other and we lingered for a bit more to have a little prattle with my mom. I also requested that she bring her HP 6 (I itch to reread it) but Van has it and won’t be accessible until I think this afternoon. Anyway, we didn’t cover more than four laps. It’s lame, I know, considering that the weather was very nice. I was ready to die of hyperventilation each time I ran a few yards. Boy I haven’t been doing my cardio for days. And the results suck all time high. I couldn’t sprint without requiring a few gulps of water, which meant that I would have to clutch one bottle when I jog, which needless to say sucks. Rihanna, likewise, was out of it. Way out of it. Rihanna was begging for a break each blink. I couldn’t complain because I was doing nearly as worse. So after a few minutes we finally gave up and were reduced to watching other people rehearse their dance steps. I think we spent the better part of our time sitting down and ogling at people play soccer. Well, there’s only so much I can do. I’m just thankful my PE isn’t a bloodsucker.

I met her walking in the woods. It was late fall. We had the trail to ourselves. We were both outfitted for the night, so we set up camp together near a tiny lake just below the tree line. We talked for a short time, then retired to our tents.

When I awoke, she was building a fire. Her long brown hair partially concealed her bare back and shoulders. I made a noise. She turned around. She was naked to the waist and unashamed. She smiled at me with her eyes and said good morning.

We spent the whole day walking. For the fun of it, we agreed not to tell each other our names, or where we were from, or what we did for a living. She said she was tired of paralyzing definitions. I said I understood.

That evening we spent the night together near a meadow at about seven thousand feet. It was warmer there, so we slept under the stars. But first we sang. She had a beautiful voice. It was easy to listen to and much better than mine.

Dogs

Took all the dogs out and gave them a couple of retrieves each on a hen pheasant and a dummy. They all did well. They are all at a similar standard now, with Hazel getting much more confident on her blinds. Jazz has got the idea, but does find it hard to carry the birds, and Rusty is just brilliant. He is so keen and just goes straight out and back with a perfect delivery everytime.
Perhaps I will take him to the working test next month.

Dani California

 In the song, lyricist Anthony Kiedis laments the early death of Dani California, a poor, young girl from Mississippi who became a bank robber and lived a hard, fast life. A girl by the name of "Dani" also appears in the Red Hot Chili Peppers' 2002 single "By the Way". "Californication" is also said to have a reference to Dani; although there is no mention of her name in the lyrics she is the "teenage bride with a baby inside". Kiedis has explained that the character of Dani California embodies all the women from his past relationships, "When this funky groove came up it struck me as a perfect place to actually tell a story. It sort of revealed itself to me that it's been the same character, just kind of developing. At first I didn't realize that I was writing about the same girl."
