Escondido City Council

Here's what I witnessed at the recent Escondido City Council meeting on a rental ban for illegal aliens. Councilman Sam Abed, a legal Lebanese immigrant, gave one of the most moving and intelligent speeches I've heard on the subject. Bill sponsor Marie Waldron was her usual courageous and honorable self, taking a lot of verbal heat and threats from the audience.

In marked contradiction to these two American patriots, Mayor Lori Holt Pfeiler and Councilman Ron Newman were a social and political disgrace. Newman, who relentlessly attacked Ms. Waldron from the dais, has got to be the single most wishy-washy, preachy and arrogant politician in town, and the same goes for Pfeiler.

These two are part of the problem/disease! Councilman Abed cited a federal study that stated that over 35,000 illegals live in Mexcondido! Illegals are an out-of-control cancer that is destroying our community with gross overcrowding, crime, gangs, drugs, murders, stabbings, graffiti, plunging school stats and sinking real estate values, and it's going to get much worse. The monstrous illegal immigration invasion/anarchy is itself the most divisive wedge in our nation's history.
